SELF-PROTECTION WORKSHOPS FOR YOUNG PERSONS
Taking responsibility about your own personal safety, is a big part of growing up and becoming more independent.
Car dependency, fear of anti-social behaviour and social isolation lead to less physical activity. We aim to educate, empower and increase trust to let the children walk to school by themselves, as well as helping families to develop trust in each other that their growing-up children will learn the skills and the responsibility to navigate the world safely.
Workshops for women and girls (from age 11 onwards to adults)
In our hands-on workshops we focus on empowering girls and women with Self-protection tools, such as threat assessment, boundary management, verbal and physical skills to get help and get to safety.
The specific contents of the workshop will be adjusted depending on age and typical every-day activities of the participants. Please get in touch to discuss your needs.

Ready to Walk to School (KS2)
Situational Awareness and Threat Assessment in public places – Students in Year 5 and Year 6 in primary school are allowed to arrive and leave school independently.
In this workshop we want to prepare students for this new privilege and the responsibility that comes with it.
- Students will develop a personalised plan for their own school journey
- Improve their situational awareness in fun and engaging games
- Become aware of common risks on their school journey and explore together how to navigate them
Additional to the student workshop, we offer a parent assembly to improve communication and trust between the generations, and to encourage developing efficient safety protocols that allow parents to trust their children with more freedom and responsibility
Ready for High School (Year 6)
The transition to High School will be both an exciting and daunting experience for students and parents alike. The new school format demands a lot more independence of the children.
In this workshop we will help the students to develop tools to navigate these new challenges safely and confidently.
This workshop includes
- threat assessment in public spaces and social situations
- recognising allies and red flags
- boundary management
- basic physical self-defence skill
A parent assembly alongside the student workshop is available as an additional option.
Ninja Bee Taster (EYFS)
We provide fun martial arts and safety workshops to EYFS, in which we want the
children to enjoy the variety in which they can use their bodies. We also teach basic safety skills such as what to do when you loose sight of your grown-up.
We encourage schools to get the parents involved in this workshop, as the acquired skills will be useful for keeping the children safe when out in public.
